This site is operated by a local captain, and because of that, you avoid 25-30% commission fees charged by various platforms and agents. Also, when you book directly, it is possible to negotiate the price, although this is less likely during the high season (mid-June, July, and August).
With us, it is possible to adjust the route, itinerary, food menu, and many other things; we are here to ensure your holidays go smoothly.
As locals, we know every boat from Istria to Dubrovnik, so don't hesitate to send us an inquiry for locations that are not listed here. It would take me a year to post all the ships and update their availability and prices on a daily basis!
- Full refund if the renter cancels 14 days or more before the trip start date.
- No refund if the renter cancels 4 days or less before the trip start date.
- In case of bad weather, the trip will be moved to the day after or to another available date.
- If the boat has a mechanical problem and cannot sail, the owner needs to find a replacement boat of the same category and price, or they must refund all money back to the client.
Wooden boats, except for Kairos, cannot develop a speed of more than 8 miles per hour, and the distance from Split to Hvar is 25 miles; to the Blue Cave on Vis Island is 38 miles in one direction. This would mean that we would spend more than half of a day trip just sailing, which can be boring, right? Also, Hvar and especially Vis are on the open sea; in case of bad weather, a wooden boat cannot escape in time and has to stay overnight on the nearest island, and you will need to book your own accommodation.
If you wish, we can arrange for a cruise ship like Senia or similar for a 1-night cruise to Hvar, or a 2-night cruise that includes Hvar and Vis.
The Blue Lagoon is very overcrowded in the summer season, with more than 100 various vessels visiting it every day. From my own experience, I had several situations where some speedy boats almost ran over my clients while they were snorkeling. Luckily, I was guarding over them, and therefore I decided not to sail there anymore. As an experienced captain, I know many more hidden bays with crystal clear sea, where the sound of pine trees and crickets is the only thing that may "interrupt" your peace.
- Jumping from the boat during navigation is forbidden, and the captain has the right to stop the boat and return to the harbor.
- Only toilet paper is allowed to be thrown in the toilet.
- Guests are responsible for looking after their own personal belongings.
- It's forbidden to throw garbage into the sea!
- Every boat is fully insured as passengers and crew also.
- Every boat needs to have a sailing licene and therefore their safety equipment ( life jackets, life raft, torches, fire alarms, bilge alarms etc) are inspected by Croatian Loyd inspectors before summer season.
Your captains on board are experienced in the maritime industry and their instructions should be respected, as everything they say is for your own safety!
Most of our ships serve similar meals with a standard menu that includes:
- Welcome drink, donut, and coffee in the morning
- BBQ choice of mackerel, fish, and vegetarian plate, cabbage salad, bread, and unlimited wine (red or white depending on the ship), orange juice, and water during lunchtime, and fruits in the afternoon hours.
We also have a menu called "Taste of Dalmatia," which is an upgrade and consists of Soparnik, tuna steak, rump steak, seasonal salad, unlimited red and white wine, beer, and water during lunchtime, 2-year dried prosciutto, goat cheese, marinated anchovies, tuna pâté, grape fruits in the afternoon. For this menu, please send us an inquiry, and we will provide a price based on the number of people in the group.
Most of the ships here are registered as bars and restaurants, and therefore it is not allowed to bring your own drinks on board due to Croatian laws. We have a fully stocked bar, and we can also provide a preference list of drinks that can be available but are not listed in our drinks menu.
